Working out VAT in your head is fiddly. You have a price and you're not sure if tax is already in it, or you need to add it before sending a quote, or a receipt only shows the total and you want the tax on its own. We added a free tool that does all of that — VAT Calculator — right in your browser.
What it does
It handles VAT three ways. You can add VAT to a net price, remove VAT from a gross price to see the amount before tax, or reverse it to pull out just the tax from a total. Type any rate you like, so it works wherever you are.
Nothing leaves your device
The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your numbers stay on your screen — nothing is uploaded to a server and nothing is saved. When you close the tab, it's gone.
How to use it
- Open VAT Calculator and pick what you want: add, remove or reverse VAT.
- Enter your amount and the VAT rate.
- Read the result and copy the figure you need.
