UTM Naming Convention Builder — free online
You set up your UTM tags one way on Monday, a teammate does it another way on Tuesday, and by Friday your reports are a mess of "facebook", "FB" and "Facebook_Ads". You can't trust a single number. We added a free tool that fixes this — UTM Naming Convention Builder — right in your browser.
What it does
You write down your team's UTM rules once: which source, medium and campaign names are allowed, and how they should be spelled. Then you paste any campaign link, and it checks the tags against those rules and tells you where they don't match. Every channel stays consistent, without you keeping a giant spreadsheet open.
Nothing leaves your device
The whole thing runs in your browser. Your rules and your links are not uploaded anywhere, and nothing is saved on a server. When you close the tab, it's gone.
How to use it
- Open UTM Naming Convention Builder and type in your UTM rules — the source, medium and campaign names your team agreed on.
- Paste a campaign URL you want to check.
- Read the result: it shows which tags are fine and which break a rule, so you can fix the link before it goes out.
It's free with no limit. There are more small tools on the Apps page.
