URL Encoder / Decoder — free online

Sometimes you paste a link and it comes back full of strange symbols like %20 and %3F. Or you need to drop a search term into a web address and it just breaks. We added a free tool that handles it for you — URL Encoder / Decoder — right in your browser.

What it does

It encodes or decodes URLs and the query parts of a web address. Paste in a messy, encoded link and read it back as plain text, or take normal text and turn it into a safe encoded form that won't break. That's it — no setup, no fuss.

Nothing leaves your device

The whole thing runs in your browser. Your link is never uploaded to a server and nothing is saved anywhere. When you close the tab, it's gone.

How to use it

  1. Open URL Encoder / Decoder and paste your URL or text into the box.
  2. Choose encode or decode.
  3. Copy the result and use it wherever you need.

It's free with no limit. There are more small tools on the Apps page.
