Title Tag Length Checker — free online
You write a page title, it looks fine in your editor, and then Google cuts it off mid-word in the search results. That happens because Google measures titles by how wide they are in pixels, not just by how many letters you typed. We added a free tool that shows you the real number before you publish — Title Tag Length Checker — right in your browser.
What it does
You paste your title and it tells you two things at once: the character count and the real pixel width, measured the way Google measures it. So you can see if your title will fit or get trimmed before anyone ever searches for your page.
Nothing leaves your device
The whole thing runs in your browser. Your title is never uploaded and never saved anywhere. When you close the tab, nothing is left behind. It works the same whether you check one title or fifty.
How to use it
- Open Title Tag Length Checker.
- Paste your page title into the box.
- Read the character count and pixel width, then trim until it fits.
It's free with no limit. There are more small tools on the Apps page.
