Thread Splitter — split text into tweets, free online
You wrote a great long post, but it's too big for one tweet — and chopping it up by hand always splits a word in the wrong place. We added a free tool that does the splitting for you — Thread Splitter — right in your browser.
What it does
Paste your text and it builds a tidy thread for you. It breaks the text into tweet-sized pieces and tries hard not to cut in the middle of a word or sentence. You can set the character limit per tweet, and turn on (n/total) numbering — its length is reserved, so every tweet still fits. Each piece shows its own character count, and you can copy them one at a time or copy the whole thread at once.
Nothing leaves your device
Everything runs in your browser. The text you paste isn't uploaded or saved anywhere — it stays on your own device, so you can drop in private drafts without worry.
How to use it
- Open Thread Splitter and paste your long text.
- Set the character limit and, if you want, switch on (n/total) numbering.
- Copy each tweet, or copy the whole thread, and post it.
It's free with no limit. There are more small tools on the Apps page.
