Table to Markdown Converter — free online

You copied a table out of Excel or Google Sheets and pasted it into your notes, and it turned into a messy pile of text with no lines and no columns. Markdown wants a very specific format, and lining it up by hand is no fun. We added a free tool that does it for you — Table to Markdown Converter — right in your browser.

What it does

You paste a table from Excel, Google Sheets, a CSV file or some HTML, and it gives you back a clean, aligned Markdown table. The columns line up, the header row gets its divider, and you can copy the result straight into your README, your docs or anywhere that takes Markdown.

Nothing leaves your device

The whole thing happens inside your browser. Your table is never uploaded to a server and nothing is saved anywhere. When you close the tab, it's gone — your data stays with you.

How to use it

  1. Open Table to Markdown Converter and paste your table into the box.
  2. Let it build the aligned Markdown table for you.
  3. Copy the result and drop it into your file.

It's free with no limit. There are more small tools on the Apps page.
