SVG Optimizer — free online, no install

You exported an icon or logo as SVG from a design app, and the file is full of comments, editor notes and extra attributes you never asked for. It still draws fine, but it's bigger than it needs to be. We added a free tool that cleans it up — SVG Optimizer — right in your browser.

What it does

Paste your SVG code or drop a .svg file, and it strips out comments, editor metadata, redundant attributes and other leftovers that don't change how the image looks. You get back a smaller, tidier SVG that draws exactly the same.

Nothing leaves your device

The whole thing runs inside your browser. Your file is never uploaded to a server and nothing is saved anywhere. When you close the tab, it's gone. So even a logo you'd rather not share stays on your own machine.

How to use it

  1. Open SVG Optimizer and paste your SVG, or drop in a .svg file.
  2. Let it strip the comments, metadata and extra attributes.
  3. Copy the cleaned code or download the smaller file.

It's free with no limit. There are more small tools on the Apps page.
