SQL Formatter — free online tool

You copy a query from somewhere and it lands as one long, cramped line. No line breaks, no indentation, and you can barely tell where the SELECT ends and the WHERE begins. We added a free tool that fixes it — SQL Formatter — right in your browser.

What it does

Paste your messy SQL and click once. It gives you back clean, indented, readable code, with the keywords lined up so the whole query is easy to follow. You can pick how it's formatted to match the way you like to read it.

Nothing leaves your device

The whole thing runs inside your browser. Your SQL is never uploaded anywhere and nothing is saved. When you close the tab, it's gone. So you can paste a real query from work without a second thought.

How to use it

  1. Open SQL Formatter and paste your SQL into the box.
  2. Choose how you'd like it indented.
  3. Click once and copy the clean result.

It's free with no limit. There are more small tools on the Apps page.
