Redirect Generator — free online tool

You moved a page, changed a URL, or rebuilt your whole site, and now the old links lead nowhere. Visitors hit a dead page and leave. You know the fix is a redirect, but writing the rules by hand is fiddly and easy to get wrong. We added a free tool that does it for you — Redirect Generator — right in your browser.

What it does

You paste your old and new URLs in pairs, pick whether each one is a permanent 301 or a temporary 302, and it builds the redirect rules for you. It gives you ready-to-use code for Apache (.htaccess), Nginx, and Vercel or Netlify, so you just copy the version that matches your setup.

Nothing leaves your device

The whole thing runs in your browser. Your list of URLs is never uploaded and nothing is saved on a server. You can use it with private or internal links and they stay on your computer.

How to use it

  1. Open Redirect Generator and paste your old → new URLs.
  2. Choose 301 (permanent) or 302 (temporary) for each one.
  3. Copy the rules for Apache, Nginx, or Vercel/Netlify and drop them into your config.

It's free with no limit. There are more small tools on the Apps page.
