Add Prefix or Suffix to Lines — free online
You have a long list, and you need to put something at the start or end of every single line. Maybe quotes around each value, a comma after it, or an HTML tag wrapped around it. Doing that by hand, line by line, is slow and easy to mess up. We added a free tool that does it for you — Add Prefix / Suffix to Lines — right in your browser.
What it does
Paste your list, type a prefix and/or a suffix, and every line gets wrapped at once. It's handy for building SQL IN clauses, quoting CSV values, wrapping text in HTML tags, turning names into mailto links, and lots of other small jobs where each line needs the same thing added.
Nothing leaves your device
The whole thing runs in your browser. Your list isn't uploaded anywhere and nothing is saved on a server. When you close the tab, it's gone.
How to use it
- Open Add Prefix / Suffix to Lines and paste your list into the box.
- Type the prefix you want at the start of each line, the suffix you want at the end, or both.
- Copy the result and paste it wherever you need it.
It's free with no limit. There are more small tools on the Apps page.
