Add Page Numbers to PDF — free online

You finished a report, a contract or a school paper, and now the pages have no numbers. Flipping through to find page 12 is a small headache nobody needs. We added a free tool that fixes it — Add Page Numbers — right in your browser.

What it does

It stamps a page number on every page of your PDF. You choose where the number sits (any corner, top or bottom, left, center or right), the format (just the number, "1 / N", or "Page 1 of N"), the number to start from, plus the font size and the margin. Then you download the numbered file.

Nothing leaves your device

Everything runs in your browser. Your PDF is never uploaded and nothing is saved anywhere, so even a private contract or a personal document stays only with you.

How to use it

  1. Open Add Page Numbers and drop in your PDF.
  2. Pick the position, format, start number, size and margin.
  3. Click to add the numbers and download your file.

It's free with no limit. There are more small tools on the Apps page.
