Image to Base64 — free online converter
Sometimes you need to drop a small image straight into code or an email instead of linking to a file. For that you need it as Base64 text. We added a free tool that does it — Image to Base64 — right in your browser.
What it does
It converts an image into a Base64 data URL, and it works the other way too: paste a Base64 string and it turns it back into a real image. No sign-up, nothing to install.
Nothing leaves your device
The whole thing runs in your browser. Your image isn't uploaded to any server and nothing is saved. When you close the tab, it's gone.
How to use it
- Open Image to Base64 and choose your image (or paste a Base64 string to go the other way).
- The tool converts it on the spot.
- Copy the result and paste it wherever you need it.
