Compress an image online — free, no install

You want to send a photo or put it on a website, but the file is just too big and it loads slowly or gets rejected. We added a free tool that makes it smaller — Compress Image — right in your browser.

What it does

It takes your JPG, PNG or WebP photos and shrinks the file size, so the same picture weighs a lot less. You can drop in one image or several at once, and then save the smaller versions. It's simple: pick the photos, let it compress them, and download the result.

Nothing leaves your device

The whole thing runs in your browser, on your own device. Your photos aren't uploaded anywhere and nothing is saved — they stay private, which is reassuring when the pictures are personal.

How to use it

  1. Open Compress Image.
  2. Drop in your JPG, PNG or WebP photos, or pick them from your device.
  3. Download the smaller versions.

It's free with no limit. There are more small tools on the Apps page.
