HTML Minifier & Beautifier — free online

You copy some HTML and it's a mess: random spacing, leftover comments, or one long line with no breaks at all. Sometimes you want to make a file smaller so a page loads faster, and sometimes you just want it readable so you can find your way around. We added a free tool that does both — HTML Minifier & Beautifier — right in your browser.

What it does

It cleans HTML two ways. Minify strips out comments and collapses extra whitespace so the file gets as small as possible. Beautify does the opposite: it adds clean, even indenting so the markup is easy to read. It also shows you the size before and after, so you can see what changed.

Nothing leaves your device

The whole thing runs in your browser. Your HTML is never uploaded to a server and nothing is saved anywhere. When you close the tab, it's gone. So you can paste in code from a real project without worrying about where it ends up.

How to use it

  1. Open HTML Minifier & Beautifier and paste your HTML into the box.
  2. Pick Minify to make it smaller, or Beautify to make it readable.
  3. Copy the cleaned-up result and use it.

It's free with no limit. There are more small tools on the Apps page.
