What it does
You toggle the sections you want and a valid Apache .htaccess builds itself below. Turn on force HTTPS, add or remove www, switch on gzip compression and browser caching, block specific IPs, set up hotlink protection, stop directory listing, add basic password protection, or list old-to-new redirects. Where a section needs a detail — an IP, a domain, a redirect path — you just type it in and the file updates as you go.
Nothing leaves your device
The whole thing runs in your browser. Your settings and the file you build are never uploaded or saved anywhere — nothing is sent to a server.
How to use it
- Open Htaccess Generator and flip on the sections you need.
- Fill in any details a section asks for, like IPs or redirect rows.
- Copy the file (or download it) and drop it in your site's root.
