Hreflang Tag Generator — free online
If your site has pages in more than one language, Google needs a little help knowing which version to show to which visitor. The tags that do this are called hreflang tags, and writing them by hand is fiddly and easy to get wrong. We added a free tool that does it for you — Hreflang Tag Generator — right in your browser.
What it does
You type in each language and region code along with the matching URL, and the tool builds a complete set of rel="alternate" hreflang tags, ready to paste into your page. No memorising the format, no missing pairs.
Nothing leaves your device
The tool runs entirely in your browser. The codes and URLs you enter stay on your screen — nothing is uploaded to a server and nothing is saved anywhere. When you close the tab, it's gone.
How to use it
- Open Hreflang Tag Generator in your browser.
- Add each language/region code with its URL, one row per version.
- Copy the generated hreflang tags and paste them into the head of your page.
It's free with no limit. There are more small tools on the Apps page.
