Hex to Text Converter — free online

You copied a string of hex codes from somewhere and now you need the actual words behind them. Or you have plain text and a site wants it as hex or binary. Doing that by hand is slow and easy to get wrong. We added a free tool that does it — Hex to Text Converter — right in your browser.

What it does

It converts between text, hex, binary and decimal bytes in any direction. Paste text and get its hex, or paste hex and get the text back. It works the same way with binary and decimal bytes. It reads UTF-8, so letters with accents and other special characters come through correctly, and it's forgiving about extra spaces or odd formatting in what you paste.

Nothing leaves your device

The whole thing runs in your browser. What you paste is never uploaded to a server and nothing is saved. When you close the tab, it's gone.

How to use it

  1. Open Hex to Text Converter and paste your text or your hex, binary or decimal bytes.
  2. Pick which way you want to convert.
  3. Copy the result.

It's free with no limit. There are more small tools on the Apps page.
