Favicon Tags Generator — free online

Setting up a favicon sounds simple, until you realize there's a long list of tags your site needs: one for the browser tab, an Apple touch icon for iPhones, a theme color for the address bar, and a web app manifest on top of that. Copying them from memory is a recipe for mistakes. We added a free tool that does it for you — Favicon & Web App Manifest Tags — right in your browser.

What it does

You fill in your site details and it instantly gives you the full set of <head> tags: favicons, the Apple touch icon, a theme color, and a downloadable web app manifest. Everything is ready to paste straight into your page, so you don't have to remember the exact names or formats.

Nothing leaves your device

The tool runs entirely in your browser. Whatever you type stays on your screen — nothing is uploaded to a server and nothing is saved anywhere. Close the tab and it's gone.

How to use it

  1. Open Favicon & Web App Manifest Tags and fill in your site name, theme color, and the other details.
  2. Check the generated tags and the manifest in the preview.
  3. Copy the tags into your page's <head> and download the manifest file.

It's free with no limit. There are more small tools on the Apps page.
