Email Inbox Preview — free online tool

You write a good email, you hit send, and then you wonder how it actually looked in the other person's inbox. Was the subject too long? Did the preheader say something odd? Most of us only find out after it's gone. We added a free tool that lets you check first — Email Inbox Preview — right in your browser.

What it does

You type in your sender name, your subject line and the preheader text, and it shows you a live Gmail-style inbox mock. You see it both ways — on desktop and on mobile — so you know exactly what shows up before the recipient even opens the message. It's a quick way to catch a subject that gets cut off or a preheader you forgot to write.

Nothing leaves your device

Everything happens right in your browser. What you type isn't uploaded anywhere and nothing is saved. When you close the page, it's gone. You can try out a dozen subject lines without anyone ever seeing them.

How to use it

  1. Open Email Inbox Preview in your browser.
  2. Type your sender name, subject line and preheader text.
  3. Look at the desktop and mobile preview, then tweak your wording until it reads well.

It's free with no limit. There are more small tools on the Apps page.
