Sometimes you need to share a spreadsheet, but it's full of real people: their names, emails, phone numbers. You can't just hand that over to a coworker or paste it into a bug report. We added a free tool that handles it for you — Data Anonymizer — right in your browser.
What it does
You paste or upload any CSV or text. It finds the real names, emails, phone numbers, and IDs and swaps them for realistic fake values. The same original always becomes the same fake one, so the data still lines up and makes sense after the swap.
Nothing leaves your device
The whole thing runs in your browser. Your file is never uploaded to a server and nothing is saved anywhere. When you close the tab, it's gone. So even sensitive data stays on your own computer the entire time.
How to use it
- Open Data Anonymizer and paste your text or upload your CSV file.
- Let it find the names, emails, phone numbers, and IDs and replace them.
- Copy or download the clean version and share it safely.
