Crop a photo online — free, in your browser

Got a photo with too much around the edges, or one that needs to be square for a profile picture? We added a free tool that handles it — Crop Image — online, right in your browser.

What it does

Drag a crop box over your photo and pick any size or ratio — 1:1, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, 9:16, or ready sizes for an Instagram post, a Story or a YouTube thumbnail. You can also crop to a circle, which saves a transparent PNG. Then download the result as PNG or JPG.

Nothing leaves your device

Lots of "free" crop sites send your picture to a server first. This one doesn't. The cropping happens in your browser, on your own device — nothing is uploaded and nothing is saved. So it's fine even for personal photos.

How to use it

  1. Open Crop Image and drop in your photo.
  2. Drag the box, choose a ratio or turn on circle crop.
  3. Click crop and download your new image.

It's free with no limit. There are more small tools on the Apps page.
