Color Scheme Explorer — free online
Picking colors that go together is hard. You find one shade you love, then you stare at the screen trying to guess what should sit next to it, and an hour later nothing looks right. We added a free tool that helps you sort it out — Color Scheme Explorer — right in your browser.
What it does
You browse through hand-crafted palettes that already look good. When you spot a color you want to keep, you lock it, then shuffle the others until the whole set feels right. When you're happy, you export the scheme as CSS variables, ready to drop straight into your project.
Nothing leaves your device
Everything happens in your browser. No palette is uploaded, nothing is saved on a server, and there's no account to make. You can close the tab when you're done and nothing stays behind.
How to use it
- Open Color Scheme Explorer and browse the palettes until one catches your eye.
- Lock the colors you love, then randomize the rest until the mix feels right.
- Export your scheme as CSS variables and paste them into your project.
It's free with no limit. There are more small tools on the Apps page.
