Color Name Finder — free online tool
You picked a color, but now you have a code like #3A7BD5 and no idea what to call it. Is it blue? Cornflower? Something else? We added a free tool that figures it out — Color Name Finder — right in your browser.
What it does
Type in any HEX code or RGB value and it instantly shows you the closest named color, along with a few nearby shades. It checks against more than 1,500 named colors pulled from CSS, Pantone, Crayola, and more, so you get a real, recognizable name instead of a string of numbers.
Nothing leaves your device
The whole thing runs inside your browser. The color you enter is never uploaded, never saved anywhere, and never sent to us. You can use it on as many colors as you like and nothing is stored.
How to use it
- Open Color Name Finder.
- Paste your HEX code or type an RGB value.
- Read the closest color name and copy it, along with any nearby shade you like better.
It's free with no limit. There are more small tools on the Apps page.
