Blur or Censor an Image — free online

Sometimes you want to share a photo, but there's a face, a car plate, or a home address in the frame that you'd rather hide. Doing that in a big photo editor feels like overkill. We added a free tool that does just this one thing — Blur / Censor Image — right in your browser.

What it does

You open an image and blur or pixelate the parts you want to cover. Use blur for a soft, smudged look, or pixelate for the classic blocky censor effect. It works on any picture you open.

Nothing leaves your device

The whole thing runs in your browser. Your image is never uploaded to a server and nothing is saved anywhere. When you close the tab, it's gone. So even a sensitive photo stays on your own computer or phone.

How to use it

  1. Open Blur / Censor Image and load your image.
  2. Mark the area you want to cover and pick blur or pixelate.
  3. Save the finished image to your device.

It's free with no limit. There are more small tools on the Apps page.
