ASCII Art Generator — free online tool
You want a little text banner for a README, a terminal greeting, or a forum post, and plain letters look flat. Drawing one by hand is fiddly, and most banner makers want a sign-up. We added a free tool that does it for you — ASCII Art Generator — right in your browser.
What it does
You type a word, pick a block-style font, and it turns your text into a figlet-style ASCII art banner made of characters. When you like the look, you copy the result with one click and paste it wherever you need it.
Nothing leaves your device
The whole thing runs in your browser. Your text isn't uploaded anywhere, nothing is saved, and there's no account to make. When you close the tab, it's gone.
How to use it
- Open ASCII Art Generator and type your word or short phrase.
- Pick a block font and check how the banner looks.
- Copy it and paste it into your README, terminal, or post.
It's free with no limit. There are more small tools on the Apps page.
